Surrounded by rolling hills with vistas to the mountains, Son Gat is a kind of oasis in the Mallorquin countryside. Located almost exactly in the centre of the island, yet only minutes drive from the airport, coastal waters and beaches in any direction.

Architected from the ground up to mitigate the hot, dry Mallorquin summers and cool, humid winters, the villa is well insulated, with double glazing throughout, air conditioning, and both gas and pellet central heating. The villa naturally stays cool in summer, yet toasty warm and dry in winter. Not your average Mallorca finca.

With its large terraces and spacious stone walled garden, Son Gat facilitates the quintessential "outdoor lifestyle", especially suited for evening enjoyment. Spend the day at the beach, enjoy the action, then come home to your own private villa, uncork a bottle of your favourite Crianza, fire up the grill, turn up the music, jump in the pool, and enjoy the best part of your holiday with friends and family. After all, you have the entire property to yourself. The nearest dwelling is about half a kilometre away (and rarely occupied).

While Villa Son Gat is delightfully "off the beaten path", access is remarkably quick and easy. And being centrally located, it's not all that far from anywhere. The MA-15 Motorway is about 1.5km away, facilitating quick access to all points east and west (Airport 25mins, Palma 30mins, beaches 20-30 mins depending on which coast you're heading towards). The MA-5030 provides quick access to all points north and south. Roads from the Finca to all major routes are short, paved and well maintained. No bumpy backroads.

The entrance is secured with a solid steel electronic gate (with keyring remotes) and video entrance portal, so you can see and talk to whoever's ringing in - and open the gate - all from inside the house.

There are many varying cuisines and classes of restaurants and bars within minutes of the villa. Supermarkets, too. Virtually anything you need is within a few minutes drive. One of the local supermarkets is open Sundays. Aldi, Lidl, and larger "hipermarkets" are within 15-20 minutes (also open Sundays). And since we are not in a seasonal "tourist resort", everything stays open year-round.

Palma old town is about 30 minutes' drive. In 15-40 minutes' drive are the beaches, mountains, top golf courses, wine tours, horseback tours, caves, boating, diving excursions, water parks, zoos, museums, live shows, and many other attractions. We can even arrange for hot air balloon rides departing directly from the villa.
